Council Advertising New Jobs For Old Positions

Two employment opportunities are presented at South Gippsland Shire Council. Both are described as newly created positions but a look at the organisational chart suggests that the directors roles have merely been renamed with the same department structure as earlier times. 

All Council’s staff at Director/CEO level and the three Administrators all reside outside the Shire yet both job descriptions justifiably promote the positives of living the country lifestyle within easy reach of the city.

Supreme Court Upholds Council Decision-Bald Hills Wind Farm Causes a Nuisance

On 27 March 2019, the Council passed a resolution, in which it recorded its satisfaction that there existed a nuisance of the kind alleged by the complainants, but that the nuisance existed only intermittently. The March Resolution recorded the Council’s opinion, under s 62(3)(b) of the Wellbeing Act, that the matter was better settled privately, and identified several methods available for doing so.

Council Report on Community Satisfaction Survey Results Catches Fire from Excessive Spin

This report which covers the 12-month period that the Administrators have been in charge makes comparison to the 2019 survey results only. Those results were a massive drop from 2018 due to all the various goings on at the time and the “encouragement” from external “players” who had an interest in removing the Councillors from office.
