The State of Emergency in Victoria is being extended for another four weeks to give the Victorian Government the powers it needs to keep slowing the spread of coronavirus and save lives.
The Victorian Government has announced a funding boost to support Victoria’s mental health system and ensure Victorians get the care they need, as demand for services spikes during the coronavirus crisis.
Cutting links with the community groups like this in conjunction with restrictions placed on groups presenting to Council to (max 3 times per year) is making distance between them (Administrators) and the community. Often, Councillors are the contact points when the community have issues with Council (Staff and or Policies)
Councillors intend to represent the community and attend community events, meetings etc to be up to date and informed by being in the community, not supervising from outside the Shire only hearing from Officers what they need to know.
Making it harder for ratepayers to be “represented” by Councillors (Administrators)

UNDERTAKE ONLY NECESSARY MAINTENANCE TO CONTINUE THE OPERATION OF THE EXISTING KINDERGARTEN INFRASTRUCTURE IN TOORA AND WELSHPOOL FOR APPROXIMATELY FIVE YEARS PENDING THE OUTCOME OF THE PRIORITISED STRATEGIC ANALYSIS.
