The Victorian Government is undertaking the largest forest restoration effort in the state’s history with a $7.7 million operation that airlifted tonnes of eucalypt seeds into areas of forest devastated by last summer’s fires.
The annual report shows service performance indicators for the Statutory Planning Department over the last 4 years. For the 3-year period leading up to the removal of Councillors, there was a slight increase in the time taken to determine planning applications from 62 in 2017, to 72 in 2019.
The Annual Report submitted to the Sept Council meeting showed that during 2019/20 year the Administrators approved the cancellation of the following projects. The reasons stated for cancellation of project is as indicated by Council in the report.
Victorians are being given more opportunities to prepare for the reopening of licensed venues with the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) program to be available online.
Council has a 4 year plan that informs the CEO of the program to be delivered over the next 4 years. The CEO is then responsible to staff the Council to fulfil the plan. Throughout the 4 years of the plan some minor staff fluctuations occur as is normal in the operations of large organisations such as council.

Thank you for the article covering the cost to the ratepayers of the South Gippsland Shire Council’s administrators, seems the 3 part-time workers cost more than all the councillors for the previous year $576,396 to $445,626.
