Council has recently confirmed its support for proposed community garden beds in Sandy Point.

The Sandy Point Community Group has been keen to establish a small community garden for some years and recently arrived at a desired location that it felt would benefit the local and broader residents. It is the group’s – and Council’s – hope that this proposal is received positively and the project can create a much-needed asset for the community.

Already the local Men’s Shed, Narkabundah Wild Flower Nursery and Sandy Point residents have expressed a commitment to supporting a community garden as part of a more holistic, sustainable lifestyle.

The Sandy Point community garden will be located at the corner of Ocean View Parade and Surfers Walk.
