Korumburra CBA to close

Korumburra CBA branch has a sign on its windows informing the community that it will be closing permanently from Dec 4th, 2020. This leaves South Gippsland with just the branches in Leongatha and Foster.

The news did not thrill the residents of the town. Many accepted that this was the way things were going but did not like it, nonetheless.

Mark of Korumburra said it was sad, but we have changed the way we bank nowadays. Shaun said, “That will happen with every bank soon unfortunately, you can pretty much do everything on your phone/computer these days!” Lots of people said it was annoying and several said people should move to the Bendigo Bank.

The Post Office will take over some of the banking for the CBA and it is hoped that an ATM will be left behind.
