Cutting links with the community groups like this in conjunction with restrictions placed on groups presenting to Council to (max 3 times per year) is making distance between them (Administrators) and the community. Often, Councillors are the contact points when the community have issues with Council (Staff and or Policies)

Councillors intend to represent the community and attend community events, meetings etc to be up to date and informed by being in the community, not supervising from outside the Shire only hearing from Officers what they need to know.

Making it harder for ratepayers to be “represented” by Councillors (Administrators)
