About Us We are a new start-up newspaper both online and hard copy.
With the recent closure of so many local papers across Australia we felt that now was the time to start a community newspaper reporting unbiased and fair opinion on all topics of interest covered in the newspaper.
What we’re looking for. This role is for someone interested in working in the community and developing relationships with individuals and groups to enable accurate reporting of events, issues and concerns of the community. You will need to collaborate effectively and have an ability to develop good working relationships with the public and members of the community. The position is undetermined at this stage. It could be a cadet level position with no previous experience necessary or a role for an experienced Journalist with prior experience.
Other attributes required are:
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Excellent English Language skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous Journalism work an advantage
Ability to use technology to perform your role
Excellent interpersonal skills
Knowledge of South Gippsland area an advantage
Friendly, approachable and have good relationship management skills
