One of President Trumps closets advisors, Ms Hope Hicks, tested positive for covid yesterday forcing the President and First Lady to get tested. Both tests came back positive, so the President and First Lady have now entered 14-day quarantine. Ms Hicks became unwell on the plane flight back from a rally in Minnesota and was immediately placed in isolation on the plane before being tested.
The White House says the President will conduct business as normal whilst in quarantine but clearly the campaign has been jolted. The US stock market took a dive upon hearing the news and a sell off ensued.
